Officers search for man who fled from warrant service

February 24, 2014

Alfonso Moncibais IV, 28, who lists a home address in Del Rio, left from a residence in the River Country Acres subdivision in a vehicle before authorities had a chance to serve him with a felony warrant at about 9:15 a.m. Sunday, prompting several Hood County Sheriff’s Office deputies, two DPS troopers and a K-9 unit to search for the man for several hours according to Lieutenant Johnny Rose. His vehicle was found ditched on Contrary Creek Road, but Moncibais has not been found, Rose said Monday afternoon. The felony count, a parole violation on a charge of possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver, is still pending, Rose said, and he now faces an additional misdemeanor charge, evading arrest on foot.
