Motion to revoke bond on former Lipan coach turned down

September 17, 2013

Judge Ralph Walton on Tuesday afternoon in 355th Judicial Court turned down a motion by the District Attorney’s Office to revoke bond for former Lipan High School teacher and baseball coach Tyson James (T.J.) Nolen, 26, of Weatherford, who is facing five felony counts alleging sexual offenses involving students. Nolen, who was arrested March 19, was released from custody in May after posting bonds totaling $160,000. The ruling means he will continue to be free under supervision of Hood County Adult Probation, pending the outcome of his trial later this year.
