Following a fire that destroyed a mobile home early Thursday morning on Purple K Court in Blue Water Shores, two injured people are still hospitalized in the Parkland Hospital Burn Center in Dallas, a hospital spokesman said Friday morning. The most severely injured is 42-year-old Jay Upham, who was visiting the home at the time. He is listed in critical condition. It was the home of his friend, 37-year-old Regina Slone, who was not injured. Her 7-year-old son Joseph remains in Parkland, listed in good condition. Slone’s 15-year-old daughter, Alyssia, was treated and released at Parkland Thursday. The cause of the fire has not been determined, according to Hood County Fire Marshal Ray Wilson.
