Local artist, art teacher Cynthia Body dead following accident

Cynthia Olmsted Body, 63, of the Laguna Tres subdivision north of Granbury, was pronounced dead Tuesday (Jan. 15) after the 2005 Ford sport utility vehicle she was driving southbound on the lake bridge on Weatherford Highway in Granbury was struck head-on by a northbound 2001 Dodge SUV driven by Rogelio Gonzalez, 44, also a Hood County resident, Deputy Chief Alan Hines of the Granbury Police Department said. The accident occurred shortly after 7:30 a.m. No other vehicles were involved in the accident, and there were no other occupants in either vehicle. Information on the condition of Gonzalez, who was transported to Lake Granbury Medical Center, is not yet available.
