Granbury School Superintendent James Largent has announced a reorganization of district administration. The district will hire a new assistant superintendent for finance and operations. The administrator will be the district’s chief financial officer and will also oversee departments for athletics/community education, facilities/maintenance, support services and transportation. “This is not a new position since this person will replace our outgoing executive director of finance (Sharay Boynton),” Largent said. “Given the importance of our bond program over the next few years and ongoing school finance issues, I feel it is essential to elevate this position to the assistant superintendent level. This will help our departments to operate more efficiently on behalf of students, parents and the community.” Current Assistant Superintendent Carol Howard will become the assistant superintendent for administrative services and will continue to oversee instructional departments.
