One lane now open on Highway 377 west of Granbury following fatality accident

One man is dead and another man was transported to a Fort Worth hospital by air ambulance after a pickup collided with an 18-wheeler carrying 6,800 gallons of liquid propane at about 1:30 p.m. Saturday in the 3500 block of Highway 377 West, near the entrance to Equibrand Corp. and just east of Coke Court, according to officials at the scene. At about 4:30 p.m., emergency scanner traffic indicated that officials were starting to open up one lane of traffic. The effort to clear debris from the road as well as getting the 18-wheeler pulled out from between two trees beside the road continues, and traffic was backed up for a significant distance in both directions. The identity of the deceased man will not be released until after notification of next-of-kin.
