Granbury man upset that Social Security check was diverted through identity theft

A 67-year-old Granbury man said someone re-routed his last Social Security check through a Georgia bank to an address in Florida – and apparently did the switch by telephone using his private identifying information. He said his Social Security number “is worth nothing now,” but has been told by the Social Security office in Cleburne that a new check is in the mail.
