Granbury Council to hire lawyer for help with BRA Water Management Plan

In a 3-2 vote Tuesday night, Sept. 4, the Granbury City Council agreed to pay a $5,000 retainer to attorney Ken Ramirez for legal advice related to the BRA Water Management Plan process. “It’s going to be hard to find someone who’s more qualified than Mr. Ramirez,” council member Mickey Parson said, referring to the lawyer’s experience with such issues. Council members Laurel Pirkle and Nin Hulett voted against spending the money to hire Ramirez. Hulett said it was just “busy money,” and that the Council was putting “the cart before the horse.”
