Art students from Granbury High School and Crossland Ninth Grade Center won top honors at the 2014 Star-Telegram Stock Show Art Show. Collectively, the GHS students won the Best High School award for their art portfolio fitting the competition’s theme of Western Art that expresses the spirit and semblance of the legendary Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo or North American Western Culture. The award marks the 19th win for GHS in the last 23 years with this being the third year in a row. Students contributing to the school portfolio were Macenzie Campbell, Jack Goodman, Nicole Kallemeyn, Katie McKamy, Lyndsey Price, Hannah Rau, Sherree Waters and Hannah Winkleman. Three freshmen from Crossland placed individually in a separate competition. Bronson Berryman was second, while James Burwell was fourth and Miranda Murillo was sixth.
