Two Hood County girls, ages 12 and 13, were arrested at about 5 p.m. on Monday by a Sheriff’s Office investigator and have been charged with a third-degree felony count of online impersonation, Lieutenant Johnny Rose said. The case involves a phony Facebook page set up in the name of a classmate because of a grudge that apparently started about a year ago. The Facebook page, which was created about two months ago, included false threats and rumors posted using vulgar language in the name of the identity victim and directed at her friends, according to Rose and the child’s mother. The two girls under arrest will remain in the Granbury Regional Juvenile Justice Center until they are seen by a judge who will decide their fate, Rose said.
