Free lunch program for children begins

The Healthy Kids free summer lunch program is now underway in communities throughout the county. Beginning Tuesday, June 3, lunches are available each weekday to all area children ages 18 and younger. Healthy Kids is a collaboration between community volunteers and the Granbury ISD child nutrition department. Local church volunteers pick up the meals at a central location and deliver them to the feeding sites. Many volunteers also sponsor fun activities, including reading programs and contests. Click for a list of locations.[amt_override]
