Edwin Tomlinson, 84, who was sheriff of Hood County from 1981 to 1992, passed away Saturday morning in The Arbor House in Granbury where he lived with his wife Reba, Sheriff’s Office Captain Jerry East said. Tomlinson is also survived by two daughters, Teresa Graham of the Dallas-Fort Worth area, and Darlene Hiler of Georgia, along with a brother, Murlin, of Hood County. “I admired him. It’s a big loss,” said East, who said he began his work in law enforcement in 1989 when he was hired by Tomlinson. Details of the funeral services have not been set.
