After several days of frustrating traffic problems caused by malfunctioning traffic control arms at the railroad crossing on Highway 377 in Cresson, almost no complaints were called in Friday, according to Hood County Precinct 4 Commissioner Steve Berry. One frustrated woman called the Hood County News with a complaint about the red lights flashing, but neither Berry nor County Judge Darrell Cockerham had received any calls today complaining about the crossing arms. Berry said he thought it may have been “an isolated case,” or that officials may have been somewhere in the vicinity working on the lights at the time. To report malfunctioning railroad crossing arms at the Cresson intersection, call the Sheriff’s Office’s non-emergency number, 817-579-3307. After hours, that number will be forwarded to a dispatcher who can notify the proper officials.
