The Commissioners Court will be sending a letter to the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) requesting that county officials be a part of any discussions or decisions made by the TCEQ as it pertains to taking water from Lake Granbury. Precinct 4 Commissioner Steve Berry said that the Brazos River Authority’s (BRA) requests to the TCEQ regarding water rights is “an extremely important issue” to residents of Hood County, some of whom “pay for dock rights when there is no water under the docks.”
