Acting upon the recommendation of the city’s Parks and Recreation board, the Granbury City Council has approved a resolution allowing the city’s utility customers to donate through their monthly bills any sum they wish to benefit local parks. The vote was taken during the regular City Council meeting Tuesday night (Feb. 19). Customers currently have the option of donating 50 cents through their monthly bills, but now they will be able to donate more if they want. The city will be providing instructions to its utility customers on how to give the financial gifts.
