Concerned parents overflow board room

Concerned parents overflowed the Granbury School Board meeting room Monday night, demanding more security officers at GISD campuses in the wake of Friday’s mass murders at a Connecticut elementary school. “Nothing can be more important than safeguarding the children of Hood County,” Pecan Plantation parent Dan White told the board. Micky Shearon, board president, has not ruled out the possibility of hiring additional officers. He did say, however, that he has “never had a single student express to me that they felt threatened at school.”
