Commissioners to decide on funding for lake study

May 11, 2013

At its regular meeting Tuesday (May 14), the Commissioners Court will make a determination on whether to contribute up to $20,000 for an economic impact study and an environmental impact study on the low lake level. The impact studies are being spearheaded by a group of concerned citizens, with support from city, county and economic development officials. The plan is to have the studies in time for an administrative hearing that will take place in Austin this summer regarding a request by the Brazos River Authority (BRA) for additional water rights.
