Celebrate children’s art with show Saturday

March 1, 2013

To a child, art is a way to have fun, make decisions and express choices. Parents see children’s art as a symbol of their (the children’s) imagination. An educator sees art as a teaching tool. Cynthia Body, recently tragically killed in a car crash, was one of those educators. Her students and those of local artist, Jo Shaffer, celebrate the creation of art and honor Cynthia in the Children’s Art Show at the Shanley House Center for the Arts, 224 N. Travis St. from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday.
