Cause of Sept. 6 explosion at gas plant still being investigated

The cause of the Sept. 6 explosion and fire inside a natural gas compressor station in eastern Hood County is still being investigated, according to a representative of the company, Crestwood Midstream Partners LP. Crestwood’s Corvette Gas Processing Plant, at 8407 Godley Road, sustained damage to one of the nine compressors at the site and caused heavy damage to part of a sheet metal building, but did not injure the four workers who were inside the structure – but not in the path of the initial blast – at the time of the incident.
