Business owner nabbed in court on warrant

A 33-year-old man who owns Brazos Bingo Hall was arrested in the County Court of Law Wednesday on misdemeanor charges of keeping a gambling place and possessing gambling devices (eight-liners), Sheriff’s Office Lieutenant Johnny Rose said. When he showed up for the trial of two employees, he was taken into custody on a warrant. One of them, a 57-year-old manager at the business, got two year’s probation and a $2,000 fine for possession of gambling devices, County Attorney Lori Kaspar said, while the other manager was found not guilty.
