The historic Brazos Drive-In Theatre is up for sale: $575,000. Owner Jennifer Miller is ready to retire. Like other mom-and-pop drive-ins nationwide, the Brazos must upgrade to digital projection technology to stay open. The cost of such an upgrade will be $70,000 to $100,000. The Brazos opened 62 years ago this summer (June 5, 1952) when the family comedy “The First Time” played. Popcorn is made in the theater’s original 1950s popper.
