Bank bag with cash, checks worth more than $1,000 returned

Two Texas Department of Transportation workers who found a bank bag containing more than $770 in cash, plus checks for a combined total topping $1,000, returned it and a Granbury police officer delivered it to its owner at El Gallo del Orco Mexican restaurant inside Four Foxes convenience store at 1102 W. Pearl St. on Feb. 6. The two TxDOT employees, Ron Neal and Jim Pool of Stephenville, received a letter of commendation from GPD Officer Michael Ingram.
