Auction for knife raises money to help family

February 8, 2013

In Saturday’s paper, read about a special email auction that concluded on Wednesday and raised $900 when E-Z Filter Base Mfg. of Dallas had the winning bid on a custom-made knife – an idea thought up by co-workers of Clint Morrison at AACA Parts & Supply in Granbury. Morrison’s wife, Amber, had a premature baby born on Christmas Day, and the underweight child had to receive special care in a Dallas hospital until last Monday. The money was raised to help the Morrisons with their extra expenses, including driving to Dallas and back several times a week, along with the fact Clint had an injury that prevented him from working for about three months.
