Animal ordinance amended for Saturday’s bull riding

February 25, 2014

After viewing a letter of approval from an Environmental Protection Agency official for a special bull riding event, on Tuesday morning the Granbury City Council amended the ordinance pertaining to animals not being permitted on the City Beach, City Manager Wayne McKethan said. The change allows the event to go on as planned, as part of the local Texas Independence Day celebration in downtown Granbury this Saturday, March 1. The bull riding is scheduled to start at 4:30 p.m. ($7 for adults, $4 for kids, under 6 admitted free). Other animals and/or pets are not allowed on the City Beach during the event or any other time, according to City Attorney Stuart Neal.
