Animal Control free adoption day set for Saturday, July 21

There will be plenty of pets to choose from from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. on Saturday, July 21, when the latest Hood County Animal Control free adoption day is staged in front of the H-E-B grocery store, 3804 Highway 377 East in Granbury. Animals can be adopted free of charge, but you must agree to have the pet spayed or neutered. Pet advocacy groups that will also have booths set up during the event will be Friends for Animals, Brazos Animal Resource Connection, Hood County Animal Lovers Organization and a new cat-lover organization, Just Before Heaven’s Gate. A low-cost vaccination clinic will be also be operating at the event, organizers said.
