Track club’s inaugural meet a flying success

Hood County Flyers coach and founder Wade Beard said he started the summer track club with the main purpose being to make youngsters feel confident about themselves.

They should be feeling real confident following their first meet at the Comanche County Ribbon Relays last Saturday.

The Flyers, competing for the first time ever, won 40 medals, including 22 gold medals. They also captured nine silver and nine bronze.
