Tolar pulls away for win

March 9, 2013

The Tolar Rattlers moved within one victory of matching their 2012 win total with a 9-4 victory against Hico Monday.

The Rattlers (7-2) jumped out to a 5-0 lead and then pulled away again after Hico rallied.

“We left the bases loaded, so we had the opportunity to score a lot more in the ballgame,” said Tolar coach Trey Holcomb.

Dusty Kimmell came in to pitch the final three innings and shut down the Hico rally.
