Tolar in must-win situation

April 9, 2014

The Tolar Rattlers fell behind early and could not catch up as they dropped a 10-4 road baseball contest at Rio Vista Friday.

The Rattlers (9-7 overall) fell to 1-4 at the midpoint of the District 10-2A race.

Stevie Morphew led Tolar, going 2-for-4. Dusty Kimmel had a hit and two RBIs.

The game was also the fourth of five consecutive road contests for the Rattlers. They wrapped up that grueling stretch yesterday with a game at Grandview.

The Rattlers are now home for the final four games of the regular season.

“We are definitely in a must-win situation now,” said Tolar coach Darrell Hogan.

“We will be home for the rest of the year, needing all four of those games to make the playoffs.”
