LADY PIONEERS GET ROAD WIN
The North Central Texas Academy Lady Pioneers got a volleyball victory at Fort Worth Covenant recently, winning 25-20, 25-9, 25-9.
The Lady Pioneers (8-12, 2-5 in TAPPS 2-A) got six aces from Sydney Lindsey. Shelby Lyle posted five kills and five assists.
ACE FOR MILLER
Sandy Miller made a hole-in-one on the 104-yard, par-3 seventh hole at Nutcracker Golf Club, using a 5-wood. Witnesses were Bernie Wills, Sharon Buller, Paula Kay, Deb Brockett.
KC GOLF TOURNAMENT
The Knights of Columbus Council of St. Frances Cabrini is hosting its annual golf tournament Oct. 17 at Hidden Oaks Golf Course. The tournament begins at 8:30 a.m.
Proceeds go to supporting church seminarians.
