DECADES GAME AT LIPAN

The Lipan High School Booster Club will present a “Decades of the Past” basketball game as part of their homecoming celebration on Saturday, Nov. 24, at the new Lipan High Gymnasium.

All former Lipan High basketball players and coaches are invited to participate in the game that will begin at 1 p.m.

Cost is $10 per player, and each participants will receive a T-shirt. Even if a player chooses not to to play in the game, they will still get a T-shirt for a $10 donation and can be recognized.

There will also be a raffle for a Lipan Indians quilt, handcrafted by Thelma Stepp. It showcases years of Lipan basketball.

The new gym is open. The first regular-season game will be played Tuesday when the Lady Indians host Mineral Wells.

The new gym was finally finished this year thanks to a $2.5 million bond package. It was started in 1999, but funding ran out.
