LADY PIONEERS
named ALL-DISTRICT
Three members of the North Central Texas Academy Lady Pioneers volleyball team have been named to All-Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools District 2-A Team.
Sara Etherington was chosen for the first team, while Anna Strickland was placed on the second team and Sydney Lindsey was an honorable mention.
The Lady Pioneers finished 10-16 and advanced to the bidistrict playoffs under first-year coach Emily Britt.
NUTCRACKER HOLE-IN-ONE
Rex Timms made a hole-in-one at Nutcracker Golf Club recently. He used an 8-iron to ace the 117-yard, par-3 third hole. Witnesses were Dave Tidlund, Roy Phillips and Jim Milligan.
GIRLS SOCCER DINNER
The Granbury Lady Pirates soccer team will have a spaghetti fundraising dinner this evening from 5-7 p.m. at the Granbury High cafeteria. Tickets are $8 in advance and $9 at the door. Children age 5 and under are free.
