HOLE-IN-ONE AT NUTCRACKER

Don McDonald recorded a hole-in-one at Nutcracker Golf Club recently. He used a 9-iron to ace the 118-yard, par-3 seventh hole.

Witnesses were Bill Lonon and Vernon Scott.

KC FREE THROW CONTEST SET

All Granbury boys and girls, ages 10– 14, are invited to participate in the Knights of Columbus Annual Free Throw Contest on Saturday, Jan. 27 at St. Francis Cabrini Catholic Church’s New Life Center.

The contest is from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Awards and photos will immediately follow. All contestants will be recognized for their participation and will receive a certificate.

There is no entry fee. All winners advance to the next level of competition.

HS BASEBALL CAMP

The 2013 Granbury Pirates High School Youth Baseball Camp is scheduled for Feb. 16.

The camp is for youngsters in kindergarten through eighth grade.

The camp sessions will be from 9 a.m. to noon and 1-4 p.m. with a lunch break from noon to 1. Participants are required to provide their own lunch.

Participants are expected to attend both sessions if they register. They will receive instruction from high school coaches and players on the drills in the GHS program.
