San Antonio Silver Stars guard Jia Perkins has signed a multi-year contract, the team announced.

“I am extremely excited to continue my career with the Silver Stars,” Perkins said. “As a Texas native, I love having the opportunity to stay close to home and I look forward to building on the success we’ve had in San Antonio over the past two seasons.”

The Silver Stars’ leading scorer off the bench for the past two seasons, Perkins was among the 10 players voted to San Antonio’s All-Decade Team in 2012. The Texas Tech alum ranked second in the WNBA in steals-to-turnover ratio (1.83) and ninth in steals (1.60) last season while averaging 10.6 points, 2.8 rebounds and 1.9 assists.

A 2009 WNBA All-Star, Perkins ranks 19th among the WNBA all-time leaders in steals with 415 through 266 career games. She is averaging 11.2 points.
