Three players scored in double figures to help propel the Tolar boys basketball squad to a 59-47 road victory over Keene on Tuesday night.
The Rattlers improved to 3-2 in District 10-2A, and 12-7 overall.
Tyler Pruitt paced Tolar offensively with 14 points. Teammate Jacob Phillips scored 12 points and notched a team-high 11 rebounds, while Corbin Wood added 10 points. Zack Hasegawa and Landon Morris scored eight points, and Hasegawa had four assists.
Tolar coach Kent Caruthers said it was a good district win for the Rattlers in an out-of-town battle.
“We came out flat,” Caruthers said. “That team plays hard. They shot the ball well. They hit seven (3-pointers) on us. In the second half we started working the ball inside a little more. We did a decent job on defense and only had 14 turnovers on offense.”
The Rattlers were scheduled to play at home last night against Godley, completing the first half of district. Four of their seven remaining regular-season games are home.
