Rattlers take two

The Tolar Rattlers have a few days off for spring break, but before they got their holiday started they won a couple of baseball games, defeating Hico 6-5 and Jacksboro 14-11.

In the win at Hico, the Rattlers (6-3) won with a pair of runs in the top of the seventh.

Lance Smith walked, Cade Brown singled, and both advanced on a ground out. Brandon Northcutt then brought both home with a single.

In topping visiting Jacksboro, the Rattlers overcame a dozen errors. In fact, only one of Jacksboro’s runs was earned.

The teams combined for more errors (18) than hits (14).

Alec Elder led the Tolar offense with a pair of doubles and five runs batted in. Dusty Kimmell also doubled and drove in four runs.
