Pirates take one of three in Austin

After starting the Austin ISD Tournament in strong fashion, the Granbury Pirates dropped their final two games of the weekend.

The Pirates (7-6) had little trouble topping Austin Bowie in the opening contest, 7-2, behind the pitching of Miles Wagner and the Granbury defense.

In the second game, a 3-2 loss to Austin Akins, the Pirates had a 9-7 hits advantage, but couldn’t capitalize. They ented the tournament wiht an 8-1 loss to Austin Anderson.

The Pirates also had a game against Lake Travis rained out.

Granbury returned to 7-4A play yesterday at O.D. Wyatt.
