Pirates get first win
The Granbury Pirates got their first victory of the season Friday, running past former District 7-4A foe Burleson 59-27 at the James Sports Center.
Ten players scored for the Pirates (1-1), who also hit nine 3-pointers.
“We showed good patience and didn’t rush shots,” said head coach David Breazeale. “I was able to play everybody and everybody scored, and that’s always good. Overall, it was a nice little team win.”
The Pirates were playing at rival Stephenville last night.
