Olympic champs then and now

Granbury boasts of two Olympic champions, sprinter Thane Baker (left) and swimmer Dana Vollmer. Between them they have won eight medals (five gold, two silver and a bronze). Baker competed in the 1952 Games in Helsinki, Finland (silver) and in 1956 in Melbourne, Australia (gold, silver, bronze). Vollmer competed in 2004 in Athens, Greece (gold), and this past summer in London (three gold).
