NCTA teams sweep

The North Central Texas Pioneers won their 10th straight game Tuesday, blasting Brownwood Victory Life 75-22.

The Pioneers (10-2, 6-0 in TAPPS 2-A) got 20 points from Stefan Rosic.

NCTA raced out to a 37-8 lead after the first quarter.

“We got off to another quick start. Everyone got to play multiple minutes,” said coach Kirby Rasco.

LADY PIONEERS CRUISE

The NCTA Lady Pioneers (12-5, 6-0 in TAPPS 2-A) easily won, 46-11, over Brownwood Victory Life Tuesday.

Esther Udonsi led the three-time TAPPS Class A defending state champion Lady Pioneers with 19 points.

“This was a good game for all my girls to get a lot of playing time,” said coach Jodie Stevens.

“I think we are starting to peak. We need to refine a few things, but we are getting close.”
