NCTA takes homecoming

The North Central Texas Academy Pioneers celebrated homecoming with a 64-14 victory against Dallas Fairhill Friday night.

The nondistrict victory improved the Pioneers to 3-4. Three of their losses have been to public school powers Zephyr, Blum and Lingleville, and the other was to Wichita Falls Notre Dame, the No. 1 team in the state in Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools Six-Man Division II.

NCTA is ranked second in TAPPS Six-Man Division II.

Tyler Hoskins led the Pioneers offense, rushing for 218 yards and three touchdowns on 10 carries.

Elias Demissie also stood out on defense with five tackles, a sack, a forced fumble and two fumble recoveries. Drayton Williams had an interception and 170 yards in kick returns.

“We played well for homecoming. Everyone got to play and played well,” said NCTA coach Kirby Rasco.
