The Tolar Lady Rattlers had their best offensive game of the season Friday, starting District 10-2A play with a 64-56 victory against visiting Keene.
Hannah Peregrino led the Lady Rattlers (7-8 overall) with 25 points and 11 rebounds. Kacey Frazier added 16 points and six boards.
“Great way to start district play with a win,” said first-year Tolar coach Benita Carlton. “I wanted to come into this game focusing on us, and working on what we need to get better at.
“I felt like we shot the ball well in the first half. There’s still a few things we need to continue to get better at, and not keep repeating the same mistakes over.”
The Lady Rattlers built a 37-26 halftime advantage.
Tolar had no trouble finding shots against the Keene defense. The Lady Rattlers were 24-for-59 (41 percent), including 2-for-6 on 3-point baskets (one each by Breanna Rogers and Taya Vasquez).
