Lady Rattlers fall on road

April 5, 2014

The Tolar Lady Rattlers’ struggles in District 10-2A continued Tuesday with a 13-3 loss at Godley.

It was the fourth consecutive loss for the Lady Rattlers (5-11, 1-5 in district).

“It’s really hard to lose four straight games,” said Tolar coach Christy Collie.

“Errors on defense and lack of big hits on offense is hurting our team. Execution at this level of play is extremely important.”

But Colley made it clear she hasn’t given up hope.

“We aren’t done yet,” she said.

The Lady Rattlers managed just four hits, but half of them were for extra bases. Katie Keith tripled with an RBI, and Searra Mace doubled with an RBI.

The Lady Rattlers grabbed an early 2-0 lead in the top of the first, but it was short-lived.
