The Tolar Lady Rattlers ran their winning streak to eight games with an 8-1 softball victory against visiting Lake Worth in a nondistrict game Tuesday.
Staci Ashley (8-3) went the distance pitching for the Lady Rattlers (11-7). She surrendered two hits and struck out 13.
Katie Keith led the Lady Rattlers at the plate with three hits, including a triple, and three RBIs.
“It feels good to be on a winning streak,” said Tolar coach Christy Collie, whose team has already surpassed the entire 2012 win total in only her first season.
“The girls have been working hard and their dedication to each other is paying off.”
Tolar has not lost since before the Perrin Tournament, which began Feb. 28. They dropped an 18-17 contest in eight innings at Millsap the previous Tuesday.
The Lady Rattlers are off until returning to District 10-2 A play Tuesday at Rio Vista. The Lady Rattlers won their district opener 9-8 in nine innings at Godley.
The Lady Rattlers, who won 10 games last season, are seeking their first playoff berth since moving up to 2A in 2011. They were regulars in the postseason for years while competing in Class A.
