Lady Indians second in Tenaha tourney
The Lipan Lady Indians, competing in one of the state’s elite tournaments, finished second in the Tenaha Holiday Hoops event, falling 55-50 to Tatum in the championship game.
The final was tied at 41 heading into the final quarter. In the end, though, Tatum’s ability to get to the free throw line (9-for-21) much more than Lipan (1-for-2), and better accuracy from 3-point range (7-for-19 compared to 2-for-10) was big.
Lanie Roberts and Shauna Coleman were named all-tournament, and Rhiana Michou received a $200 scholarship.
