The Lipan Lady Indians hit the road for the first time this season and came home with a 76-37 victory against Peaster Friday.

The Lady Indians (1-1), ranked second in the state in Class A Division II, had dropped their season opener at home to Brock (No. 1 in 2A, five-time defending state champions) 66-62.

Shauna Coleman led Lipan with 21 points, while also grabbing a team-high six rebounds, blocking four shots and registering four steals.

Lanie Roberts added 14 points, five rebounds, three assists and four steals. Kylee Cross scored a dozen with three assists.

“Kylee shot really well. In the first quarter she was 4-for-4 from the 3-point line,” said Lipan coach Amber Branson.

“Everyone got to play a lot and contribute something to the game. “
