The Lipan Lady Indians finished fifth and the Indians were seventh in their own Lipan Range Run cross country meet last week.
The Lady Indians scored 116 points, while the Indians totaled 189.
Lanie Roberts led all Lipan runners, finishing 11th among the girls with a time of 13:58 over the 2-mile course. Shauna Coleman was 21st for Lipan with a time of 14:29.
The boys were led by Cameron Earles with a posting of 20:30 over 3 miles to finish 37th.
Also for the Lady Indians, Catherine Thormann was 34th with a 15:05, Rhiana Michou was 45th with a 15:46, and Shelby Bontke was 46th with a 15:52.
Also for the Indians, Jorge Hernandez finished 40th 21:05, Colby Clinton took 46th with a 21:30, Jace Walker placed 52nd with a 22:28, Kyle Mercer was 54th with a 24:41, and Joel Rice came in at 55th place with a 25:40.
WILLIAMS LEADS TOLAR
Tim Williams led all Tolar runners in the Glen Rose Invitational Wednesday.
Williams clocked a time of 13:40 over the course at Dinosaur Valley State Park to place ninth among varsity boy runners.
The varsity girls were led by Marlee Thomas, who posted a time of 15:00 for 28th place.
Also running for the Lady Rattlers were Hannah Peregrino, 16:30; Breanna Rogers, 17:00; Shelby Newton, 18:00; Kailey Brackins, 18:32; and Kacey Frazier, 21:08.
“We had a few girls with pneumonia who didn’t get to run,” said Tolar coach Benita Carlton. “But overall I was pleased with our times and how much we improved them.”
