Lady Indian places fifth

Lanie Roberts led the Lipan Indians in the Poolville Invitational cross country meet recently, finishing fifth in the varsity girls division with a time of 15:25 over 2 miles.

Also for the Lady Indians, Catherine Thormann clocked a 17:10 for 20th place, Shelby Bontke finished in 17:32 for 24th, and Kristen Drewry was 42nd in 19:53.

The Indians were led by Cameron Earles, who was 38th over the 3.1-mile course with a 20:48. Joel Rice was 55th in 22:17, followed by Jorge Hernandez in 56th with a 22:21.

Also competing for the Lipan boys were Jace Walker, 62nd, 23:18; Colby Clinton, 70th, 24:42; Kyle Mercer, 75th, 27:27; and Tanden Foust, 76th, 27:50.
