Keene runs by Tolar girls

The Tolar Lady Rattlers had difficulty getting untracked offensively Tuesday night in a 49-30 loss to Keene.

Kacey Frazier led the Lady Rattlers with 11 points, while Hannah Peregrino pulled down eight rebounds.

Tolar (7-9 overall) fell to 1-1 in District 10-2A. The Lady Rattlers could not get much going on offense against the state’s No. 22 squad in , according to the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches.

Godley (12-6, 2-0) jumped out to a 30-11 halftime lead and by the end of the third quarter was up 44-17. The Lady Rattlers closed the contest with a 13-5 run.

Tolar shot just 34 percent (11-for-32) from the field and missed all nine of its 3-point attempts. The Lady Rattlers also struggled at the line, going 8-for-17, and surrendered the ball 22 times on turnovers.

The Lady Rattlers were hosting Whitney last night. They then are off until the Breckenridge Tournament Thursday.
