Indians wrap up season

The Lipan Indians ended their basketball season with a 69-51 loss at Huckabay Tuesday.

For the first time in more than two decades there will be no postseason hoops.

“I am very proud of the effort that these boys have given me this year,” said Lipan coach Cody Chandler. “Even in the last game against the district champions, the boys fought hard all the way to the end.

“I know that the younger players learned a great deal from our more experienced ones this season. The future looks bright as we return eight lettermen and had a district runner-up JV team. I am looking forward to what next season has in store.”

The last time Lipan missed the playoffs was 1990.
