Indians top Eula

The Lipan Indians bounced back from being no-hit at Santo to win their home opener against Eula Friday, 7-3.

Colby Clinton got his second pitching victory in as many outings this season for the Indians (2-1). He struck out 11, giving him 28 on the season.

Clinton also had his second double of the season.

“Colby gave us another great outing on the mound, and we fielded the ball well behind him,” said Lipan coach T.J. Nolen.

“Eula is a very good team and well-coached, but we put the ball in play a lot and were very aggressive on the bases.”

The Indians have unofficially stolen 40 of 42 bases this season.

Lance Ferguson and Gio Yanez led the offense with two hits each. Ferguson also drew a walk.

Every Lipan batter got a hit.
